Port storage infrastructures are heavily congested with 77,000 vehicles, severely disrupting terminal operations. Frustrated by the operational inefficiencies at the Ports of Ashdod and Haifa, shipping giant Grimaldi has imposed a “Congestion Surcharge.” These additional costs will inevitably be passed on to vehicle importers, and potentially to the end consumers.
